shichi/ nana - seven
hachi - eight
kyuu - nine
juu - ten
hyaku - hundred
sen - 1000
man - 10,000

refer to order
shodai - the first
nidai - the second
sandai - the third
yondai - the fourth
godai - the fifth
rokudai - the sixth
shichidai - the seventh
hachidai - the eighth
kyudai - the ninth
juudai - the tenth

refer for things or subject
hitotsu= first
futatsu= second
mitsu= third
yontsu = fourth
itsu = fifth

*perkataan dalam kurungan bermaksud hari. bila disebut sekali, ia akan jadi; cth: getsuyobi = hari isnin

Months & Seasons

januari = ichigatsu /shogatsu (winter/ mid-winter - fuyu/ mafuyu)
februari = nigatsu (winter - fuyu)
mac = sangatsu (spring - haru)
april = shigatsu (spring/ mid spring - haru/ maharu)
mei = gogatsu (spring - haru)
jun = rokugatsu (summer - natsu)
julai = nanagatsu (summer/ mid summer - natsu/ manatsu)
ogos = hachigatsu (summer - natsu)
september = kugatsu (autumn - aki)
oktober = juugatsu (autumn aki)
november = juuichigatsu (autumn - aki)

Years

year - toshi(random) eg: kono toshi wa... = that year...
/ nen(spesific) eg; ni sen roku nen = year two thousand six

tsugi (number) no nen = next (number) years

introducing;

watashi wa ____ desu.
untuk ayat ini boleh diguna untuk mengatakan mengenai diri sendiri
watashi wa = perkara berkenaan diri sendiri/ saya ialah
cth:
1.watashi wa aemy desu. = saya ialah aemy
2. watashi wa daigakusei desu. = saya ialah pelajar unversiti/kolej
desu berfungsi sebagai penyata. dan wa sebagai kata hubung antara subjek & predikat berfungsi seperti 'ialah'/ dalam keadaan

kore wa ____ desu.
ayat ini diguna untuk mengatakan mengenai sesuatu perkara.
kore = ini
cth:
1.kore wa tekisuto desu. = ini ialah buku text
2. kore wa aemy-san no nimotsu desu. = ini ialah beg aemy
*nimotsu = luggage
*no = punya; no bertindak sebagai kata hubung

untuk bentuk pertanyaan, hanya perlu tambah ka dibelakang.
cth:
kore wa aemy-san no nimotsu desu ka? = adakah ini beg aemy?

cara menjawab: sekiranya anda menyentuh/ memengang;
hai, kore wa aemy-san no nimotsu desu = ya, ini ialah beg aemy.
namun sekiranya anda menunjuk;
hai, sore wa aemy-san no nimotsu desu. = ya, itu ialah beg aemy.
sore = itu
*hai = ya, ie' = tidak, chigau = bukan/sebaliknya/berbeza

are wa nan desuka? = what is that?

hajimemashite? = glad to meet you at first time
literally maknanya adalah seperti perkataan bergaris.

kore = ini(bila objek pada/in position of speaker)
sore = ini(bila objek near to speaker)
are = itu(bila objeck atau sesuatu yg tidak berada dekat atau pada kedua2 speaker)

cth:
A(kasa)____B(isu)____C(jitensha)
kasa = umbrella, isu = chair, jitensha = bicycle

A: sore wa nan desu ka? = what is that?
B : kore wa isu desu = this is a chair
C: kore wa nan desu ka? = what is this?
A & B: sore wa jitensha desu. = that is a bicycle
A -> B: (pointing to C) are wa nan desu ka? = what is that?
B -> A: are wa jitensha desu. = that is a bicycle
