heh, in Malaysia, its ok to say you are an otaku or such since our point of view on otaku is quite different from Japanese.

for japanese, otaku is a look upon as an anti-social or low life, and they are treated as a bunch of weirdos by the society..

so, keep in mind that whenever you go to Japan, never ever said stuff like ' i watch anime' or 'i like to collect anime figurines'...
